About Us
Ironbridge Press is an independent publishing house built around a simple idea: fiction should earn its weight. We publish thrillers and character-driven stories where the stakes are real and every choice costs something.
We are a small press, and we intend to stay that way. Rather than publishing broadly, we publish deliberately — a short list of titles we believe in completely, backed with real editorial attention and a direct relationship between our authors and the readers who find them.
Our name comes from the idea at the center of every book we choose to publish: a bridge, built of something strong enough to hold real weight, carrying a story from one side to the other — from writer to reader, and often from darkness back toward home.
What We Look For
Danger that means something. Choices with real, lasting cost. We're not interested in stakes that reset by the next chapter.
Sentences built with care, pacing that respects the reader's time, and stories that hold up on a second read.
We publish books we would stay up all night reading — nothing goes on our list that we don't believe in completely.
Ironbridge Press launches with The Empty Casket by Michael Salmieri — a thriller that follows a former Air Force Pararescue medic and an Iranian engineer across two continents, bound together by one impossible mission. It's the kind of story that shaped what we look for in everything else.
